Breaking the block

Sometimes the best way to come up with a good idea for a comic or a drawing or a poem or a song or anything creative is to just make a bunch of bad stuff until you come up with something that isn’t terrible. Then you take that thing and polish it up until it’s alright. Make some alright stuff and think about it and develop it until it’s something sort of cool. Do that long enough and you can usually break out of a block.

sometimes, you wake up with a killer idea and it’s almost like you’re hand is Flying frantically, trying to draw out the idea before you forget it and it’s gone forever. When that happens, all the practice you struggling through the block will come in handy.

anyways! Happy Saturday!
