we’ve been watching master chef and my favourite part is how visibly annoyed the judges are whenever a contestant launches into some tragic backstory about why people should care about their efforts. And yet- all American reality/game shows STILL put such a heavy emphasis on the hero narrative! Gah! Less talk, more rock!
