Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! I hope you’re celebrating something, and I hope it’s a good one.
I didn’t make a ‘Let’s Draw’ video last week because school is out, and the only video I made is a ‘who am I and what am I about’ video for my YouTube channel. ‘Let’s Draw’ will return next week and I can hardly wait! I love making videos.
My creative writing prof said something along the lines of “A blank page is limitless possibility, and a few words is direction”. I botched the quote, but the idea is this: Sometimes all that possibility is daunting and paralyzing- but even the tiniest direction provides clarity of focus and forward movement. I’ve had free time since my finals wrapped up and I was planning on focussing on writing stories and maybe a long-form comics project, but I accidentally slipped into recording some music which snow-balled into having an idea for a fun music project. It’ll take a long time to make it properly, which is pretty exciting! It’s nice having an idea. Musically, I’ve felt stuck in possibility for a decade- so it’s really refreshing to have a project in mind with purpose and direction.
