Hello! It’s hard to believe it’s time for another GoGo Weekly, but here we are! The weeks go fast don’t they? For this week’s ‘Let’s Draw’, by POPULAR DEMAND (aka, one person asked for it) we’re drawing BUTTERFLIES! The Easy mode is especially easy this time around. Medium mode is a Butterfree (from pokemon!) and in hard mode, I tackle a monarch butterfly on this new watercolour paper that I just can’t seem to get a grasp on. Fun times all around!
I made a couple of comics this week:

Aside from those, I also posted my sci-fi short story to the site this last week, if you missed it and you like short stories you should definitely give it a read! I think I need to think of a way to easily find all the short stories and poems I’m posting. Keeping a website usable is tricky.
I have some other projects in the works, including a short story comic, an essay, some poems, but none of it is quite ready yet. This semester my classes are a bit more demanding than last semester, and on top of that I’ve got two jobs! TWO JOBS! Which I am excited for- one is as a research assistant at the university, and another is as a comics instructor for our community association. I’m stoked for both, as they are both smack-dab in the center of my areas of interest- using art to communicate, and HELPING others to do the same.
I was browsing around my website the other day and stumbled upon the very first graphic novel I ever produced. The art is rough, the story is barely a story, but there are some pretty good jokes in there! Check it out if you’ve got a half an hour to kill. Here is an example of a joke from the first few pages that I still think is pretty great. The context is that Charlie is working at an abandoned coffee shop:

While we’re at it, here’s an archive dive:

Thanks so much for reading! See you next week!
