you’ve let me down for the last time, iTunes

2014-4-2

One of my favourite parts about being married is having someone to share all my stupid jokes with.  Once in a while, when I think my stupid joke is pretty funny and un-top-able, Diana will really pull through and one up me!  It leaves me speechless!  Even if it’s actually really funny, I don’t usually laugh when she one up’s me, because Diana is usually laughing hard enough for both of us!  Which is another one of my favourite parts about being married.

Take today’s comic for example!  This happened verbatim.  In this case, I said “shuf-fail”, and I thought it was funny and smirked to myself.  Then Diana said it wasn’t funny, and called it a “Shauf-fail”, (shauf being my last name), and then she laughed and laughed and laughed.  I had to admit, it was better then mine! haha.  Either way, we still had to go over and change the song MANUALLY.

So why didn’t I make the punch-line to the comic, “this is a shauf-fail?”  Cause neither of the characters is named “shauf”, and while I am, I don’t feel like breaking the fourth wall.  Maybe that’s a shauf-fail?  whatevs.  Have a great wednesday everyone!

Learn something new every day

For example, today i learned that the next macbook itineration, AKA apple’s next phase in their evil plan to own the world’s money, while having a wonderful screen resolution, won’t have fire wire ports.  they did that for a bit with the first version of the aluminum “mac books”… for the short period where they weren’t macbook pros… anyone remember that time?  Anyone remember the “new” polycarbonite white macbooks?  anyone remember old black macbooks?  a couple of apple’s gimmicks that didn’t really last very long? Anyways, the new one will have two thunderbolt ports, which is cool, except that i don’t need thunderbolt ports, i need firewire ports.  It’s not that big of a deal, having my macbook that i have now, but it’s just another annoying reminder that apple continues to change things just slow enough to keep people buying stuff annually.  That being said, first gen ipods and “classic” ipods… there’s quite the difference.

i wouldn’t worry about it

“the idea for this comic was jotted down on the iPhone, concept sketched and pictured into iPad, then, drawn on my macbook pro, while my other macbook streams CSI to my TV, and the iPod classic charges on the dock to get ready for tomorrow, while the iPod touch updates to the newer version of bejewelled, and the other iPhone is charging and being used as an alarm clock, and the other OTHER macbook is playing soft music in the other iRoom for the iWife.”

Who am I quoting?  myself?  I never said that.  And, while I’ve never jotted something on my iPhone, worked on it on my iPad, then drawn on my macbook pro, while two other MacBooks perform menial tasks, and an assortment of other iOS devices charge and do there thing, it is kind of sickening to realize that this is not outside the realm of possibility for something like this to happen.  It seems ridiculous, but that could be like, a monday night at the Shauf household.  I wouldn’t be surprised if we started using iPads as placemats all up in here.

I’ve actually heard a lot lately that people think iPads are just big iPods.  I disagree… but i can’t really explain why, and I don’t care too.  anyways, time for bed!
