Even though I know the story, and all the jokes, and even the rhythm and cadence of the character’s lines, i still love watching through friends. It’s the TV equivalent of hot chocolate, comfortable and cosy.
Have a great week!
it’s a cheesy joke, i know, but as you probably know by now, cheese is my bread and butter.
My free Rdio music listens ran out. I’ve had access to Rdio since I bought my surface for drawing on, and my surface has absolutely no music stored on it, which means that I don’t have music to draw to. -sad-
Have a great thursday everyone! the summer is almost over. Craziness.
It was a great week away from the computer! I spent it working with kids in vancouver’s downtown east-side with our youth group. It was a lot of fun, i’m super proud of our youth and leaders who did such an amazing job. The kids we got to work with were great, I miss them so much already!
Thanks so much everyone for indulging me in a little sci-fi scenerio for a week. Stories are a lot of fun to do, and I really like Sci-fi. The last story I did with Charlie and the Ghost was “slow day”, which is collected in a book, which is in my lulu store. I started that story a couple years ago! wow! Time flies!
Once I get my new collection of 400 comics done, I am considering doing a graphic novel set in the “Space Chuck” universe. The big thing i’m going to do differently from slow day is I’d be making a page a day instead of three panels a day, which I think i’m ready for in terms of time.
Anyways! It’s good to be back! let’s all go outside and say no to summer-time TV.
for the most part, i like medical drama shows. i’ve been a huge scrubs fan for a long time (though i guess that’s more of a sitcom). ER occupied a good chunk of my life when the box sets went on sale for $10 at walmart. Grey’s anatomy is the current medical drama of choice, as it is on netflix… But, let me tell you, out of those three i mentioned, Grey’s is the most unbelievable. probably once an episode, a doctor does something so ambiguous in the medical ethics department that would get any real doctor’s licence revoked SO FAST… but in the show, all they do is have meredith grey narrarate a little “sometimes, life is messy…” and then they cut to blond doctor making a mess cooking speghetti, and all the ethics are just breezed over. BRUTAL! if that’s how it actually is, that sucks.
have a good weekend!!
I have an interesting tale to tell you.
Me and my wife Diana have a dog, whose name is coffee. Coffee the dog. It leads to some confusing statements like “i’m gonna go home and get coffee”, and responses like “we have coffee in the church kitchen, you don’t need to go home”. We just got coffee (the dog) in the last month or so, she’s pretty darn cute, still getting used to the whole pet owner thing.
Anyways, today i’m walking coffee around a park, trout lake to be exact, and this chinese guy comes up to me, and with quite broken english, says, “cute! Your dog looks like a lion. How much?” and I thought he was asking how old she was, which is one of two questions we are asked (the other is “what breed is that?”) so I say “about four months.” And then he says “Four!? That’s way too much. I won’t go a penny over three thousand. Your dog looks like a lion!” At this point, I guess, it turns out, he didn’t know i was talking about months in a year, and he made it clear to me that he wanted to buy my dog? Cause of her lion-like looks? Or at least, that’s the best that I can make sense of it. Anyways, it was… interesting. In the negative sense. He kept insisting that he’d give me three thousand dollars for my dog. I get pretty awkward in high pressure situations like that, so I kissed coffee goodbye and now we have a new TV!
nah, I basically just said “Ok then! You have a good day,” and walked away with my top-dollar-dog. With every step, I heard the guy chuckle “your dog looks like a lion ha ha,”. Surreal.
Have a super interesting weekend!
