Constructive Criticism

cge016Normally, when I draw cars, I get a reference pic and try to make it as close as I can… but where’s the fun in that?  So this is my version of my little hyundai accent!  …not entirely accurate!

the bane of every commuter’s existence!  I’m thankful i don’t have a long commute anymore.  When I was living in Chilliwack and going to college in Abbotsford (which is hardly a long commute, only about half an hour) the construction of a wire barrier between the lanes on the freeway was taking place.  Sometimes, it didn’t make any difference.  Sometimes, people would decide to go 15 kmh on the freeway, and i’d get to class when it was half over.

Today, I am commuting to vancouver island!  So my normally 15 minute on a scooter commute is going to be closer to 4 hours!  but at least 2 hours of it is on a boat.

cge004Ghost brings up a good point!  Why DO i care about traffic?

It’s not like I make money when people visit the site, or click on the ads.  It would be cool to have that set up, but alas, it’s not my situation!   I make a little money when I sell books, but for the most part, that money covers the cost of the books i give away to people! haha.  In my case, traffic does not equal money!

Well, I care about people visiting the site for this simple reason:  it’s nice to know people are reading the stuff I am making!

Have a great weekend everyone!  New week-long storyline starts next week!

Don’t forget- if you feel like reading the entire “space-chuck book one”, just click the “ALL the space-chucks” tab at the top of the page!  And, if you want to buy a book and ensure that Diana, Jo and me have pizza for another week, You can click the “store” link at the top of the page which will take you to my Lulu store. “That’s not art” is my latest book and features over 150 pages of comics!

Thanks so much for reading the comic!  I hope you enjoy it!  It’s good to be back to weekly updates.  😀

Finding joy in the little things

It occurs to me that this comic may be a good metaphor for how finding contentment in life may look to others who are discontent.  You should know, for your own sanity, that when i drive up steep hills on my scooter, i move over to the shoulder and let others pass me.  I do enjoy getting swept up in the moment of driving exactly 55 kmph, my scooter is a 2004 honda ruckus, and that was deemed “Fast enough” in 2004 i guess.  New ruckus’ go up to 65, and yamaha speed-restricted scooters go up to 70, but whatever.  Sometimes, speed is more of a feeling and less of a number.  …unless you’re going up a steep hill.  Then speed is something i don’t really like to talk about.

Anyways, have a good thursday!
