i remember when i was in high school, i was watching the movie “10 things I hate about you” which i think is a retelling of the taming of the shrew?  Anyways, there is this scene where heath ledger is getting money from a rich guy to take a girl out to the movies, and he is exaggerating the cost so that he can milk the rich guy for all he’s worth… he starts with tickets costing $12, which is the cost of ONE movie ticket now, and it ends up costing $75, and that was supposed to be an exaggerated number.  Who knew that “10 things I hate about you” was an accurate representation of the FUTURE!?
