So! I made a dumb comic yesterday, i’ll post it here for posterity’s sake.

Anyhoo, this comic was quite a bit more popular then yesterday’s charlie and the ghost! I’ve come to a bit of a realization, which i think i always kind of knew, but I’ve just sorta ignored. Charlie and the ghost is pretty inaccessible… but i still make it, and I still love it. Why is that? If I want to be a cartoonist, which I do, is it time I start thinking about accessibility and appeal? probably. I probably should of started doing that a while ago. The fact is the charlie comic took an hour to draw, and the snow comic took three minutes. Charlie and the Ghost is like, my first “comic love”. Inner turmoil! Is popularity the goal? ugh. I’d like to think not, but i mean, ugh.

well put.
No. Popularity is not the goal, but in order to sustain you must balance between love and impact. Sometimes a love needs to be summarized and cataloged… in order to move on you need something to look back on.
