Yikes, it’s been a while since I updated the blog, which means there are WAY too many comics for one blog post in this here blog post.  A sane man would split it up and make two posts!  I AM NOT THAT MAN.

I think I’m gonna make ’em in color again!   Lately i’ve been trying to learn how to draw archie comics, and If archie comics have taught me anything, it’s the ability of the color palette to create consistency from frame to frame, which gives more freedom for the inking to deviate from the norm.  This could be laziness to help with high production, but it also gives options for expression.  And if I’ve learned anything from trying to emulate archie, it’s respect for the people who make them!  It’s easy to draw an archie comic one-off, it’s a whole ‘nother thing to draw a full page or a multi-page archie comic.  I guess you never know until you try!
