GoGo Weekly: Backgrounds!

This week, I thought I’d tackle a topic that has been on my list for a long time: BACKGROUNDS! I’m not a HUGE fan of the background creation process, so any time I can think up a way to make it fun I’m satisfied. Here are THREE fun ways you can make backgrounds happen: First, reference a real space in your imagination and make it happen (easy mode!) Second, take a picture of a real space and draw the space using the reference photo (medium mode!) and Third, use LiDar to take a scan of the room and import it into your drawing software so that you can get impossible angles and always have all the details in the right spot (hard mode!). If the LiDar thing sounds interesting, here’s a video I made a long time ago showing (in detail) how to do it:

Also, here’s a short video of the hard mode from this week’s video, just in case you don’t want to watch the whole video:

It was a fairly busy week otherwise- I’ve started a new math class and because it’s the spring semester, there’s twice as much work every week as there would be in a regular semester. It’s kicking my butt a bit, every second of free time is going to that class or towards my (enjoyable) art related jobs that I can’t really share anything about here. But I did get to make a comic:

I guess it’s about time for an ARCHIVE DIVE!

Thanks so much for reading! See you next week.
