I recently completed another 100 day art challenge!
But why would I do such a thing? So glad you asked.
At the beginning of the year of our Lord 2026, I was trying to come up with decent new years resolution, and couldn’t. But suddenly, I could! And did! About a month late. I even made this comic about it a week after I started:

You’ll notice I didn’t mention that I came up with the resolutions late. That’s the great thing about writing a comic: you can make it say anything, and you have to believe it!
Now we are on day 248 of 2026, and I’ve completed 200 daily drawings. Not bad. That’s basically 4/5ths of the year, drawing every day! And with 117 days remaining in the year, there’s even a chance I could complete ANOTHER 100 day drawing challenge- but I’ve decided I’m not going to keep count anymore. Why? Because…
The whole point of the resolution was to form some healthy habits! And that’s been accomplished.
Here’s what I mean: I wake up every morning at 5:30am to get half an hour of exercise in. Nothing super strenuous, just a 3km walk around the block to get the ol’ heart thumping. I’m tired when I start the walk (because it’s 5:30 in the morning), and I’m tired when I get home around 6am (because that’s still very early, and now I’ve also just had some exercise). Instead slumping in a chair and staring at my phone engaging in an endless scroll and hoping that I start to wake up, I go downstairs and start to draw and paint.
Last year I would wake up around 7:15am, and this year I’m accomplishing 2/3rds of my new year’s resolutions before that slacker 2025 Rob was even awake!
And unlike my comics where I can basically just say whatever I want and you have to accept it as fact, this time I have receipts. I can PROVE that I’ve done the thing, you don’t just have to believe me because I say it in a comic. The video below shows the results of the last 100 days of my drawing efforts in one big compiled timelapse video for your on-in-the-background viewing pleasure:
